If the image is TGA, you're in luck, if not... well, it will require a few steps Most images are jpg, so for example, you download an image you like and open it up with some kind of paint or picture program which will allow you to edit it. For a single texture, you'll want to size it down to 64x64 pixels and convert it to TGA, cut/paste it to an existing TGA file from the editor. I used the retail version of ACDSee to convert one TGA to a BMP, then Paintshop to copy/paste the new texture to the TGA file I'm using for the level I'm working on. Then back to ACDSee to re-convert it back to TGA. Remember, each texture is only 64x64 pixels, so effectively using cropping and resizing is essential. Have fun! ------------------ ~`~ thou art crunchy and goeth well with brie ~`~ IP: Logged |

You'll need to make sure that the textures you're going to use are 64x64 pixels; I usually grab one of the TGA-files included with the editor, open up the file in PhotoShop, and paste and resize my own designs over the 64x64px-grid... Good luck, Striffelbuur

Hey Darkdrake you can do all your editing with paintshop i "think" when i installed the editor it added .TGA to my saving options.Anyways i have been using paintshop to make textures and they work great! One tip before you hit save make sure you set the right compression.IP: Logged |
