Well, it shouldn't matter which drive you install it on (I've installed it on my D-partition, where I keep most of my programs). Are you sure that this can't have anything to do with a faulty disc?

Best regards,

Heya
i use trle under winme, win2k and win whistler beta 1
so far no problem
maybe it's fault of other ****ty programs you have instaled and running?
because it's not the level edit that it's not working,
it's the instaler (InstallShiled 5.10)
that's causing the problem
try to close all program you are running and do it again?
ot it can be your cd is ILLEGAL and the copy has not done right..
either way, try to close al programs before starting

AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR TR:C TO REACH PORTUGAL...
i am still using a warez copy, eidos.. what happen?

It's not an ILLEGAL copy, it's a retail original.

I tried closing everything (even used task manager and blew away almost every single thing running)

The installshield error (-106) is "unable to decompress file" karnak.tr4

Of course Core is refusing to support their development tool. Nobody supports their own development tools, because they are designed only to work on the company's computer's, for the duration of the level designing process.

yeah but read their sale brochure and ads - the level editor is splashed all over as a main feature of buying Cronicles...maybe TRC wasnt good enuf and priced correctly to standalone ;->

One of the easieast things to overlook: turn off all virus checking programs that load at start-up!

I have a friend who could not re-install his video card driver on Win2000 because of that.

PROBLEM FIXED...took disk to work, tried 3 different computers finally found one that would read the disk, made a copy of it and loaded it at home. Must be a poor manufacturing process (there were 4 bad sectors 78097,78098,78135 and 78296) all in the cab file.
