The problem is that I can hear the dart emitter from inside another room, so I want to turn it off once Lara has passed it, because she will not be returning to that room so I do not want to hear it later on in another room thats next to it. I have tryed the antitrigger and also just simply triggering it again but they both had no effect so I asked how to turn it off?

Try the kill all triggers.

If at first you don't succeed, you're doing it wrong!

I thought I read somewhere in the manual that this was not used in the editor?

Well thanks for the tip but the kill all trigger didnt work, unlessim doing it wrong.
i set the kill all obect then place the trigger for it. after this I placed the dart emitter trigger on top of it but it did not turn off. and on the same token how do you turn a mummy off or untrigger it?

You are right, kill all triggers doesn't work, but simply use the antitrigger!! Set up the antitrigger for the dart emitter so that Lara will activate it when she leaves the room - this will turn off the dart emitters.

Another thing is that after I took somebodies advice to use the kill all I started getting the evil objects unknown error when I output a wad. and so I deleted the kill all trigger. The level would play ok but I never seemed to be able to get rid of the error. So I started deleting objects one by one untill every object in my level was no longer there,,,even Lara herself. At about this time I knew that my level was ruined but was curious as to how to get rid of the error message. So then I started deleting rooms from the newest to the oldest. I had more than 75 rooms that were well done, I'd been working on this one level since november. I got down to the very first room I made for the level and I was still getting the object unknown error. I did reload objects and the texture before I deleted anything but it never fixed the problem,so I did lose my level completely because I used information I got from the forum....Maybe there should be a seperate forum for beginners and for the experienced editor users....And by the way Reb the anti trigger didnt work for me,thats what I tried first, but the level is gone now and im using a differnt wad but im gonna test the anti for the dart emitter for the new wad im using and then go and test it for the old wad I was using. After this test I will post again and tell you more information about the wad.

Please don't blame other people for losing your entire level!!! The editor is complex, and there must be a zillion problems that can arise that not even Core are aware of!!! Believe me, I know only too well how frustrating it is to lose a lot of work, but there have been plenty of warnings everywhere about saving using different names (i.e. DON'T KEEP SAVING OVER YOUR PREVIOUS PROJECT!!!!!) Bugs can develop as you have unfortunately discovered, but if you had been saving different iterations, you would only have lost several hours work, not weeks!!!! AND, if you are going to do something really experimental and risky, save a copy of your project first so if it gets buggy you can simply dump it and resume working on the version that works. Also, I don't know why the antitrigger for the dart emitter didn't work for you....I will try to test it soon...
