You're probably still using the old buggy version of the city.wad; you can download the revised version from the Eidos site at:
http://www.eidosinteractive.com/downloads/search.html?gmid=103

Make sure you place the door correctly; the way you've got it placed now will have Lara only open it normally; if you approach the door from the other side, she will actually kick it in.

Best regards,

Hi, I had loads of trouble with it too. She will blip around the screen and the door will open, and she won't do anything from the other side. If this is what happens, download the WAD patches from eidos, and all will be fixed.

I've had no problem with the way the door opens from either side but once the door is open Lara can run through the frame.

Has it always been like that?

or is theresome in the OCB of debris0 you have to do?

Apparently you have to use debris0 AND (I believe) debris5 or 6 or something like that; haven't got it work myself yet though, but Rebecca from Eidos has posted about this once...

Please look in the general wad information under the city.was. It tells you how to get the kick door working. Also, WHY DOESN'T ANYONE EVER LOOK AT THE EXAMPLE LEVELS TO SEE HOW THINGS ARE SET UP? IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO GIVE WRITTEN DIRECTIONS FOR EVERY SINGLE ITEM USED IN ALL THE LEVELS. THAT IS WHY THE EXAMPLE LEVELS ARE PROVIDED ALONG WITH DIRECTIONS FOR USING THE 'FIND OBJECT' OPTION SO YOU CAN LOCATE WHATEVER IT IS YOU ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT.

Hope you get it working!
