Hi,

Could somebody tell me how I can make the clockwork beatle work properly.

I used the 'B' button from the plan view grid as a start and end point like described in the manual but it always goes into the same direction and then vanishes out of the room.

THNX

Also put a Mapper object on the same squares that you marked with the B button and make them point at each other.

Thnx,

I read something about that too, only there is no mapper object in the Librairy wad.
I'll check if there is one in the other wads with a clockwork beetle.

You're right, there doesn't seem to be a mapper object in the library wad. I don't think the clockwork beetle is going to work without it.

I have used it in the Cleopatra wad but I guess that doesn't help you , sorry.

When faced with these limitations, why not make a level jump to the wad that has the rest of what you need...this way, Lara can find some of the pieces in one wad, then complete the puzzle in the next....

IIRC, Lara finds the beetle on one level, and uses it on another. So one level would have the beetle and it's parts (Didn't you have to put it together with a key to wind it up?)

Yes, you have to have a key, so you need to make sure that the WADs you choose have the needed parts to complete the puzzle.
