Can anyone help.

I am having trouble with the Flip on and Flip Off triggers.

So far I have had no problem using flipmaps from switches or just a plain floor trigger, and I have had no problems using Flip On / Off triggers as a plain floor trigger, but I can't seem to get a Flip On / Off trigger to work from a switch and it's really starting to piss me off.
I have tried removing triggers, replacing them, deleting the filpped room and recreating it, placing triggers in a different order and nothing works. I even tried setting it as a Flipmap trigger, testing it in the game successfully, changing it to a Flip On trigger, testing it unsuccessfully, changing it back to a Flipmap trigger and testing it successfully.

I've always made sure that the Flipped room number was correct but still no dice.

Am I fighting a losing battle or is there actually a way to do this?

Somebody please help...

Hi there,

You probably havent told the editor that you want to use a switch. To do this click on the purple sqaure in the "Plan View Panel" until you come across the object switch you want to use. Bring up the "Set Trigger Type" window and under the type where it says "trigger" click on it and select "switch" from the items menu. This will tell the editor that when Lara walks onto the sqaure only do the flip on and off if she activates the switch.

Yes I actually have set the trigger for the switch. What I tried to explain in my previous post was that I have tried everything I can think of and I still can't get a Flip On to work from a switch. Have you done what I am trying to do? If so could you please explain to me how you did it.

Perhaps what I am trying to do is not even possible?

email me your project file (*.prj) and I will have a look.

Mail it to tombraider@3dactionplanet.com.

Include it in a zipped file please. Also include the texture tile set file if you havent used any that were included on the cd or from eidos on the internet.

Try putting the triggers for flipmap, flip-on and flip-off all on the same switch trigger... it worked perfectly for me... one position is flip-on... the other flip-off .... good luck.
