that's not possible, the maximum height of a texture file seems to be 256x2048 pixels------------------ Custom TR levels, textures and other TR goodies on www.driber.cjb.net IP: Logged |

I think it might be possible. You would only be able to use it in texture-editor, but you could then extract across. I will investigate.Ms. Severi and other texture-meisters..your input would be appreciated. yes, ofcourse you can always make one big image with Photoshop where all the textures are in, I've thought about that before, but that will have some disadvantages: 1. the filesize would rocket sky high 2. it would take ages to load (for people with a bit older pc like mine) 3. sucha big image would eat up all your memorybut if someone can prove me wrong, please do I wonder how Eidos did it..... ------------------ Custom TR levels, textures and other TR goodies on www.driber.cjb.net

My texture file is 256x4096 and it works fine. I could probably make it bigger too.------------------ Lest I cause the dead to outnumber the living IP: Logged |

what about making several library files of related texures. One for rocks, one for trees, one for amusment park rides and then pick with texures you wish for your project. this would keep the file size down for each file and put them in some order so you could more easily find the exact texture your looking for.IP: Logged |
