I've been working on this for a LONG time. I'm trying to find a horizon that's not egypt-like. I tried the house Wad from the Sage of Time but it didn't blend well with the sky graphics. I tried using the Coastal Horizon but it has a dark strip at the top. So that looks bad. I tried making my own but I don't know how to change sky graphics. I wanted a Night theme for a sky. But not just black sky. I want dark clouds floating by and A big full moon to set the mood. Can someone help me! How do you change the sky(if you can)?IP: Logged |

just use stripx, i never tried this, but try it: get a pic of the horizon you want, go to a horizon you want to edit with strpix, and import the texture and texture the horizon with it, i dunno if this works though.......------------------

It's not the horizon. It's the Sky. I redo the horizon dark but the sky stays light. How do I change this?IP: Logged |

i dont really know much about this either, i have seen edited horizons, i think delimote is right about this, try thatfor the sky, i would 1. try to switch the "sky" object with another sky object from another wad with trwest 2. ask other experts about if you can change the sky with the script.txt good luck ------------------ JCO-Jliboy's Custom Objects jliboy64@hotmail.com IP: Logged |

Actually I don't know what the "sky graphics" object is that you find in all the wads, but the specific sky information is to be found in the .raw files. There are only a few programmes out that can handle .raw files, like Paint Shop Pro and another one whose name escapes me at the moment. However, the easiest way to change the sky is via the script. If you look at the block of information for city, for example, you'll see a line "LAYER1=", followed by 4 numerals. The first three of these set the sky colour in RGB values, the last one refers to the speed of cloud movement. For my next level, I've set these values to 0,16,32,16 which results in a dark blue and slowly moving sky to match the Antarctic night horizon I'm using. You can also add another line "LAYER2=", but I haven't experimented with that yet. IP: Logged |

If you're looking for a sky already in existence, you could use the City of the Dead sky. That's black and green, isn't it? You can just copy it into the wad that you're using.IP: Logged |

Ah, this one's an easy question. But hard to explainIf there is no custom cloud.RAW file for your level it will put up the default clouds (SKY) You have to make your own cloud/sky graphic 256x256 RAW. The RGB colouring (I.e.to make dark clouds) and SPEED of movement (wind) of the your RAW graphic is controlled in the SCRIPT file. Then using STRPIX you can edit any of the WAD horizon graphics to your own scene. You also have the COL ADD horizon in the script which helps to melt some of the horizons into your sky. AND you can add in the script a LENS FLARE. You can change its colour and depending how you place it, you get get rid of the flare so it becomes a Moon. I have a Night City at the moment, with stars and little airplanes flying over to the local airport. And press 'O' for her hair to blow in the wind. And then there's the lightning effect. yessum MIRAI http://intelligentsia.online.fr/area3.html IP: Logged |

Which one of the numbers after layer1 is the red color. Is it like in the editor... The main colors are green red and blue? IP: Logged |

R, G, B, speed.Depending where you put the Lens Flare co-ordinates (or something). The FLARE disappears leaving just a circle in the sky. I have to figure out the numbers in the script. But I have made a red sun and a white moon. MIRAI IP: Logged |
