If I look at the marvelous tools such as TRwest, TR2WAD, Strpix3, Easylife (and many more) it becomes clear to me that you the makers and many others know how to handle and construct EXE-files.

Maybe you could work together to make it possible for us to edit the tr4.EXE.

Of course not the entire file should be customizable, but certain items must be easy to change:

* The firepower, hitpoints, speed,.. of baddies
* The standard inventory of Lara

Even more challenging would to edit
the hardcoded moves of Lara that are permantly linked to for example "key for keyhole_1" "vehicale_extra" for the bike and jeep. And so make her own special moves.

From understanding this could follow one of the ultimate achievements: the ability to make FMW and cutscenes ourselves.

Who takes on the challenge??

Ye... Thats almost impossible, It would take far to long. .EXE files are not readable code, they are binary, and It would be nearly impossible to successfully edit (and save) a new .EXE file, without totally crashing the file. Besides that it is probably encrypted. Sorry.

I thought of that but then i realised it would be impossible. i tried opening a sheep screenmate in wordpad, saving it then changing it back to an exe file, it did not work.

Ye, the sorry truth is we have to make do with what they've given us, but hey, we have 'pushed' the supposed bounderies that where given with the level editor, like editing objects, so maybe we will one day figure out how to include Cut-Scenes and FMV's (I'm working on a way now)

About the inventory... I know this probably isn't what you meant, but you can change Inventory strings in the Script and English .TXT files.
