I am playing the game in Level Editor. I am in "Cleopatra's Palaces." I have the mechanical scarab and now I don't know where to go. I've been everywhere. The scarab does not work where the floor swords (can't think of a better term) appear in the floor. Any help is appreciated

I haven't played this level but I got this from an online walkthrough
ROOM WITH FOUNTAIN AND GREENERY: You begin in the room you entered earlier to get one of the BLACK BEETLES for use in the previous level, PHAROS, TEMPLE OF ISIS. After completing that level, you should now have the MECHANICAL SCARAB and the WINDING KEY. If you don't, go back through the south door to the previous level to get whichever you're missing. Return here when you've got both pieces.

I cannot go back a level. Not for the game in the Editor. These levels are really compilations of previous levels in other games.

There are 5 levels in the Editor game as follows:

The Tomb of Seth
Temple of Karnak
Catacombs
Cleopatra's Palaces
City of the Dead

I have made it to Cleopatra's Palaces and can't go any further unless I have the key. Which at this point is moot. I just can't find it and the follow through for other games wont work.

If you can't find it why don't you just search for the key using find object in the level editor?? Or just place the key in front of you in the level editor...

I can dream this level. The winding key is in a shatterchest on your right when you leave the room with the fountain. If you have shot it already look on the floor. Combine it. When you want to use it do it from the menu. You cant do it just by pressing the ctrl-button when you stand on the scrarab-floortile. Although this is a level that comes with the editor you can play it to the end...

Thank you PIEGA. I was always shooting the crates with the pistols, this time I used a shotgun. The scarab cannot always be used, it disintegrates after a couple of uses. Any suggestions. I am now, again, at a loss.
