No, I don't think there is. Triggers can only be placed at certain places, they can't (unfortunately) be attached to characters.

since this discussion is about finish triggers, does anyone know how do you make lara jump back and forth from levels and still keep the same objects she have???

To answer your question, jliboy, yes i do.
Open the little trigger bar and do the following.
Trigger:Finish
In the bar next to it put the level number in there (like say from a level to tut1 you would put 1)

JOLIECROFT:
I dont think it is not possible to end the level by killing Lara (or Sophia) as there is no trigger available for ending the level on death, although I have an idea how you could end your level with a similar ending to what you want to do.
Instead of the character actually dying, why not get the character into the trap and make it appear that the character faces certain death by using a cutscene or flyby camera sequence showing the character getting trapped then ending just before the character would get killed (timing essential) this would end the level on a cliffhanger (loads of suspense and intigue) and it also leaves it open for a sequel/follow up level.
Hope this is of some help and you can understand my ramblings

It says in the manual that sometimes inventory items dissapear, so they might not all the time.

Here's another example, in my level it goes from city to new city. The FINISH trigger will have the number 11 in it cause newcity is the 11th level.

The order of levels can be changed in script. Just move the the text blocks about in the script.txt file (buy cutting and pasting) then running the script script.txt command in dos (full instructions are in the manual. You can also duplicate text blocks etc. so that you can create multiple levels using the same wad, you will obviously have to change the name of the copies tho and duplicate the relevant files ind the graphics wads folder.

To the original question tho..... if you were , say, gonna kill her on spikes...... setting a heavy trigger for finish on the same square as the spikes will end the level as soon as the spikes are activated.....

yes.....Jliboy64. and yes......JoliecroftTR, however bear in mind that if you activate the trap b4 lara gets to it then the level will end as soon as the trap starts. so in this case you would have to set all the triggers on the same square. so you would just set normal triggers for both the blade and finish....... other than that... you could set the trigger for the blades a square or so before and then set a heavy trigger for a rolling ball in an unconnected room which in turn will activate a heavy trigger for finish......

No problem! i myself found it by mistake. i did finish trigger instead of flip effect and i put the 4 in like the manul says (thats if you want to just finish the level). i was wondering why i kept ending up in the costal ruins level until i found out what i really did.
It was a great embarrasing moment.

Maybe that is what the Bodybag trigger is for? You place it on the same square as an enemy, then place a Finish trigger and when he dies it finishes level?
Worth a try?

CrazyMatt2001, you're right!
I tried this and there is a number next to the trigger for bodybag. You need to put a trigger for the bodybag. under the bodybag you put the finish trigger. the enemy goes on top. but you have to make sure that you don't let lara get near the enemy. Cause she'll trigger the finish trigger if she steps on it. i think that it worked cause when the emeny went down the level ended. There's your answer to whomever started this post!
