Mostly, I prefer to play levels that are about an hour in length because of my busy lifestyle and I like to finish all things that I start.------------------ You could say, I have a magnetic personality IP: Logged |

I think no more than 1 or 2 hours per level. If you make something longer, it should be broken up into more than one level.Of course, there are exceptions for fantastic levels. Like psiko's Techno Egyptians Portal. Very long, and I only got thru it because of a bug in the level, never figured out the regular way to get thru. But I really think the deciding factor is if the level is really hard. If it takes an hour to get past one part, I tend to give up or cheat. As long as it doesn't take that long at one place, the whole map can be really long. IP: Logged |

The classical reply would really be "It depends". As said above, when a level really drags you into its atmosphere and keeps you interested with a decent mix of puzzles & action, I don't mind if it is 2-3 hours. Longer than that is actually going to be hard to achieve with TRLE for a single level (talking about net gaming time here), except if you build in a lot of slow crawling, climbing, push/pull etc etc which will make the level boring. I would also tend to say that the average net gaming time of about an hour usually is quite satisfying, but there are a few examples where quick 20 minutes felt great, too.

Hi, Lara and the last crusade are 3 levels and about 1,5 our gameplay each. I also hate long climbs and crawlspaces and there a few but not long. It has very hard (but not too hard) puzzle to solve... Thanks Verios for the compliment, i truly cant wait to release my levels but i take my time to make it al beautiful and good. Soon i will place screenshots of the last level that is becoming very atmhosferic in my eyes and the best level i have ever build.IP: Logged |

Yes, see it as the connected karnak levels and the coastal ruins levels. Backtrack is nessecary and coming back in a level through a different path.IP: Logged |
