Well, to run a server you need a fast connection, so cable or DSL. Then you need web server software. On Windows, something as simple as the PWS would work fine for serving web pages, images, or even HTTP file downloads. With it on your own machine, you have have as much storage as you can afford to install. The only problem is getting an ISP that doesn't care, and too many people hitting your machine and eating up your bandwidth.

Hi guardianofsethSeems you've received answers to q3.... Q1 - Cutscenes and FMV are not supported in the TRLE - I believe I'm right in saying that the files use the bink player, and I'm sure this is available (as a trial?) on the web. The reason the feature was removed from TRLE is to do with licencing/sub-licencing. Have a look at http://www.radgametools.com/ Q2 To post pictures in the forum they need to be on a web server You need to add code to your message like the following NOTE that you need to use square brackets - [ ] instead of round ones ( ) for it to work I've used round ones so you can see the code Also there are no spaces between the brackets and the URL of the image (IMG)http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_thorn/constr1.gif(/IMG) The result when posted You can use the same principle in your signature Word of warning - keep the signature image small, and the images likewsie or it'll slow the download of threads and upset people. If you have big pictures, either post a thumbnail and a URL to the full sized picture, or just a URL ------------------

Thats not free. You have to pay for connection, and domain name price 2. ------------------ Visit my site: http://www.tombraiderconnection.8k.com Anubis : Death Pyramid to be released October 21st 'Don't trust what you see...' ADP Sig no* 1 of 6 (To change each week) IP: Logged |

Well, you need a connection to get online at all, so no extra cost there. Domain names are cheap. You can sometimes get them for $10 per year. Of course, the ISP charges extra to host the domain name, but not that much.

Thanks guys! But let me rephrase the first question:First: You know when you press " at the middle of the game, you can get a screen shot of the game in tga format? What program do I use to open it? I've tried with Corel Draw 9 and Adobe Photoshop 6 but it looks like a picture on a broken television! Well, do you know how to solve this? Thanks! IP: Logged |

Ah, different question. Not sure why you're having problems. Both of those programs should handle it. I use Paintshop Pro 5, and it handles it just fine.

Sounds like the picure may have been 'snapped' while the screen content was being refreshed by the video card - happens to me sometimes - somtimes I get just a black screen.Try again... TGA is a common picture file and most graphics packages and viewers will open it. ------------------ Conan the Barbarian IP: Logged |

I've figured it out!!! The resolution of the game should not be any bigger than 640 x 480. Well, maybe a little bigger will be fine. I used that size and works perfectly well.IP: Logged |
