Goto our tools page and download a little prog I wrote called EasylifeOnce you've made your changes to the script and english txt files, run easylife and the conversion is done and the files moved into the proper folders. Then play the game. Col. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Bad command or file name means just that - DOS will search the current directory and any others detailed in your PATH command (set in your autoexec.bat file) If you don't understand that's OK - many Windows users never go near DOS and its environment. Basically you need to ensure that you are in the folder / directory where both the script.exe program and the script.txt files are and then issue the command. Hope this puts you on the path to success. ------------------ Conan the Barbarian [This message has been edited by Conan the Barbarian (edited 09-13-2001).] IP: Logged |

I believe that Dr.LioR didn't try the dos command, but started the batchfile and thus getting the famous error messageCol's program is an adjusted version of that batchfile that does work so if you don't want to touch the DOS commands as a trle newbie, I also suggest you use Col's program to convert your scriptfiles ------------------ Tomb Raider - Ancient Legends levels (2), walkthroughs, tutorials, wallpapers and other TR goodies on driber.cjb.net !!! new: the full release of the OBJECTS ARCHIVE is out !!! >>>> When I write the script script.txt the dos tell ma that this is a bad command or file name, what shoukd I do? <<<<sounds like a DOS command to me unless there is a script.bat involved I was giving a technical explanation of the error message.... I agree things are much easier if you use a batch file or other means of converting.... Just goes to show how dependant users are on Windows, when a rudimentary knowledge of the underlying OS would have solved the problem instantly.... Not having a go, just giving a technical answer and highlighting just how far the computing community has handed control over to Microsoft!!! Conan IP: Logged |

I used colin's program but but when I tryed to play my level it was the tutorial level. And then I also didnt succed to convert my level so I had to reinstall trle. I think it's a problem with script. Tell me if there is wrong line in my script: (the project name is liorl1) Script: Name=lior's level Level=Data/liorl1,107 English script: Lior's level I think the script is fine so maybe there is another problem: What should I do first- convert the file or change the script?IP: Logged |
