It turns out that I can fix the rising sands bug (as well as the fact that after the old rising sands area no torches are lit very easily. It won't give you any extra pickups, but it will add to your experience of the level and enable you to play it as I intended. That's funny...HJsplit worked fine for Justin, so there must be an error in one of the file I sent you (they work fine here, so I guess it got corrupted in transit).
