Help!!!I just started using the Level Editor a couple of week ago and have several ???? 1. When my daughter goes to output wad on her level of 4 rooms she gets a message "not enough textinfos (1 ranges)" 2. I am working on my 2nd level and was not having any probs until I downloaded the revised wads. (Not textures) Now when I try to load my 2nd level I get the message "ARG list too big" I hit ok and get the error message "Warning texture file C:\Program1\TRLE\Extrat1\copy.PCX not found" Then when I hit ok the program crashes. 3. I cannot find the online manual for TRwest, when I go to the web site I am told to go to I end up at Earthlinc's home page. Where do I go from there? I of course have more "tiny" questions but these are the major ones. Any help would be appreciated. ThanksIP: Logged |

And I can answer the first...She must have placed textures, made them an animation range, and then deleted the range. I had it once, tooks me a while to figure. Vivi IP: Logged |

The error about arg list too big, etc. is because your texture filename had a space in it. The room editor does not support that. Use my TRFix utility and it will remove the space and make your project work again.

Hey! Thanks all for your help, even though TombRaider Nut, I have no idea what you're talking about! All I did was download the revised wads from this site. Sorry, I'm not that computer literate. ViviOrnitier, Yep! that's what happened, (she tried to put water on a vertical door!) but how do we fix it? Aktrekker, where do I find this TRfix, I wasn't too far into the level but I'd rather not redo those rooms!!! And thanks Driber now I can (maybe) make sense of this program. IP: Logged |

Go to the texture drop down menu in the Level Editor. They say as followed Load TGA Load PCX Save PCX etc... To my knowledge it sounds as though you loaded a PCX file instead of a TGA file, causing your error.IP: Logged |

OK...TRNut I really don't think :-} I did that but is there a way to fix this??? Also one other small question... why, in some places, the object I'm trying to place is moved up and down with the floor+ & - keys and in other places it moves "in" & "out"?? I had major problems with placing a dart emmiter in one place (finally gave up) but in another I had no problems!!IP: Logged |
