Can anyone help?I can't tell which way the fixed camera I set is pointing until I launch the game. When I set it in the LE, I don't get that handy field-of-view pointer that I get when I set flyby cams.
*How can I be sure where my fixed cam is looking when I'm setting it?
*Also, the cam stays on, and doesn't snap back to Lara (buttons 6 and 9 are set in the cams OCB, timer is set to 0)

Before you refer me to the manual, I should tell you my manual won't show me all the pages.

Thanks for your time, I know I've been asking lots lately.

fixed camera's always point at lara as long as she is still on the trigger for them. if you spread the trigger over mulitple squares, it will watch her as she moves. but when she steps off the trigger, the camera returns to normal. if you want it to point in a specific place, you need a camera_target object. im not sure how they work though. hope this helps

A fixed camera will only look at Lara when she steps on the trigger from this camera. Fixed camera's do not have a flyby effect. If you want to take a point of view without Lara you must use the target object from the wad list. Trigger it on the same square with the camera and set the target object to "target" in the object window panel. You can add a time to show in the timer field. A normal camera can be skipped if Lara use the look key or draw her weapens. With a fixed camera Lara cant disable the view. If you only place a target object and trigger it as "target" then Lara will look at the target. Wow this is a lot of information

Hope this helps

I believe that the camera automatically points torward lara unless told by a camera target. to set up the target, go into the wad and look for this handy object. then place it where you want the camera to point and put the trigger of the taget where the camera trigger is placed. then go into the target's trigger and set trigger type to target.
The reason your camera doesn't snap back to lara, is cause fixed cameras don't do that. you'd have to step of the trigger to make it snap back to her.

Yeah, I just got that figured out via trial and error. I'm using a regular camera to show stuff, with a one shot trigger.
