Please save your screenshot in .JPG format at no more than 50% quality. It does'nt look any different when posted here and it loads so much quicker. So many times i've wanted to look at other members screenshots to see how they're getting on only to find i've gotta wait 3 or 4 minutes just to see one screenshot. So come on you guys .JPG at no more than 50% quality Thanks. Well, still this is an empty post. I cant take it so here is my very first screenshot from my next epic adventure "The Sanctuary of Water, Ice and Fire". No bumpmapping yet. This is a screenshot from level 2. The adventure will be about 4 levels. The puzzles will be more simple then the last crusade so anybody can play it's beauty. These are meant to be my dream levels and the last i will produce. [This message has been edited by piega (edited 01-10-2002).] IP: Logged |

Well i'm totally confused, did any of you actually read what I said? I was pointing out that screenshots are way too big in file size and the first person to answer, adds an over large file size screenshot. IP: Logged |

OK you guys, here's the bottom line.Screenshots take too long to view. Please make them no more than 800x600 in jpg format at 50% quality. The pics don't look any different but load almost instantly. These images are roughly about 20 - 30k in size. There is no excuse saying you can't do that because you're art app won't let you. Why? i'll tell you. Go here: http://www.irfanview.com This app will allow you to do all those things and it will also speed up our viewing pleasure. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do this little thing, or i'll simply refuse to look at screenshot threads in future; and if I think this way there must also be others that think this way. So if you want to please everyone with your latest screenshots and lower other members download times, just save your image as a JPG at 50% quality at no larger than 800 x 600. It really is that simple.

I'll propably ask the most stupid question in this topic, but I'm here the 2nd day only and I don't know a lot of things, so I thought I'll better ask than remain an idiot forever But what I wanted to ask is how can I post an pic here? I got it right as dhama requested it(at least the size), and I don't know how to post it from my computer.IP: Logged |

Dhama, you are right, but when in a thread everyone posts his own screenshot (even if very light) the topic is slow the same.. not TOO slow, but slow.. that is not guilty of anyone, if the topic has too many screenshots from several persons..anyhow the line command is: (img)yourURLwhereyouputthescreenshotontheinternet(/img) but instead of () you must write [] IP: Logged |

I hope you don't feel I was ignoring you Dhama it's just not always possible to compress at 50% and remain a fair quality of the screenshot maybe I'm using a poshy program to convert my screenshots to .jpg, but at 50%, the image looks all blurry and just plain ugly if you can give an example of a .jpg compressed at 50% without loosing much of the quality, I'd like to see it and know what program you're using my apologies for the late reply
