I have downloaded a leve but can't remember where from, though its called Castle, and I have reached a gold/yellow room, and there is a gap above a ladder that I want to crawl through, but Lara won't do it. Can anyone help me with my frustration???

not sure about the level you are playing, but it sounds like you need a good old TR trick move here. Lara will not crawl in while being in climbing stance. So, you need to let go, immediately grab again and before Lara goes back into her climbing stance pullup and move into the crawlspace.
