For target shooting in Lara's house, I use shatter_2 which has a nice exploding anim. The problem is that Lara won't auto-aim her gun at them. Is there a way to make that target get Lara's attention? Or should I use something else for target that can get Lara auto-aim her gun at them? Please advise.

I think for shatter objects you have to use the laser sight to aim.

Okay, I thought about it for awhile and here's what I came up with:

1. Use STRpix to texture an unused baddy completely clear (RBG: 255,0,255)
2. Place that baddy on the square on which your SHATTER_* object is.
3. Make every square all around the targets a boxed square (i.e., dark gray, no baddies allowed to move here)
4. Edit SOUNDS.TXT and take that baddy's sounds out of your .SFX and .SAM files.
5. Finally, place triggers for your baddies.

The only drawbacks: (1) if you use an immortal baddy, your gun will still target the invisible baddy after the target is shattered; (2) if you use a mortal baddy that takes one or few shots to kill (i.e., bat, scorpion), blood will spurt from the target. This is hard-coded and can't be easily changed.

But try this and see how it works for you. Good luck!

Hey - maybe make it so they have to use explosive ammunition to get all the targets in time. If you used bats or scorpions for the invisible gun-magnets, they won't show blood, they'll just blow up in little invisible pieces.
