I try to load the TRLE and the screen flickers black and then goes to the desktop. I can load Room Editor and Level Converter works. Anyone know what the problem may be??

Edit: I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still happens.

What (if any) changes have you made since the last time that it worked?

In case it crashes to desktop even before the title screen: Check whether you have the uklogo.pak in your \data folder. A missing load.bmp doesn't normally result in a crash (I believe), but you might want to check it nevertheless.

In case it crashes to desktop on trying to load a level: Make sure that you have the Script.dat and English.dat files in your root directory. Check whether it is the right script. Check whether the .tr4 files the script refers to are actually present in your \data folder.

It fails to even load the title screen. load.bmp and uklogo.pak are there.

I didn't do anything. I didn't even make my own level. It just doesn't work.

...in which case it seems to be an incompatibility issue...? Do you get any error messages, and if yes, what do they say?

On which system are you? what graphics card?
