I have imported this into my wad but can't get it to drop from the ceiling. It looks great but a bit pointless if it does nothing. I have tried putting it in the hammer slot (the only object I can think of which drops in TR4) and also an animating slot but still it just hangs there, no matter how much I trigger it or what I put in the OCB.

Any ideas?

Yes. Forget about OCB values. Try the FALLING_BLOCK and FALLING_CEILING slots. Check animations with TRViewer (haven't done that myself, ask Tomoko)

Hi Mulf - thanks for replying. I tried both falling block and falling ceiling (never noticed them before), with the block the sword did not appear at all, but with the falling ceiling the sword fell but fell straight through the floor. It also did no harm to Lara. But that seems the best slot to start with so thanks for that.

I have TRViewer but sorry to say I have no idea how to check the animations!

Try putting a 1 in the ocb window for the object. Imported enemies such as the tigers from previous TR games need 1 in the ocb window before they will actually harm Lara.

OK - I read Mulf's reply and replied, then I think CroftsGate replied and said try using 1 in the OCB. I went away, tried it, came back and as usual I can only see two replies in this thread even though it says 4 in the main page (I've mentioned this before, sorry to mention it again, but I'm now replying in the "dark"). Anyway, Croftsgate, if it was you who suggested the 1 in the OCB thanks but I'm afraid it didn't work - the sword just goes straight through Lara, it doesn't even nudge her.

Well at last I can see all the posts here. John, if I ever get the sword to work I will certainly e-mail it to you but at the moment, as I say, it still doesn't harm Lara so a bit pointless. Also, I'm not much good with TRViewer or any of the tools which view object data, animations or whatever. Who was it Mulf suggested was good at that - Tomoko? Tomoko are you out there?! HELP!
