I've built two rooms to test the scales ina custom wad. But the ahmet creature will onlt chase Lara when she is in the room it appears in,it follows her to the door but wont pass through as if there is some sort of barrier. I have removed the door between the rooms but that had no effect and all baddies do the same thing.

Sometimes baddies do stupid things. They get stuck in corners, ledges, etc, for no reason.
You should check your rooms for slopes, shape and width of doors, stairs, etc. Try to verify the baddieīs capability of climbing blocks, and the height it can climb in clicks. For the original WADs, thereīs info in the manual.
And only trial and error can be used to check for anomalies, specially in custom WADs.
Baddie 2 for example, slides down like heīs in an elevator when you place him in a high ledge over the place heīs triggered, no matter the height he wonīt get hurt...
This same baddie tends to monkey swing under the sky, outside of the actual monkey swing area, unless you place gray boxes beside the whole monkey swing area.
Baddie 1 tends to get stuck near 1 click high ledges over water rooms (like pool ledges). This same baddie has problems with AI patrol.
Flying baddies canīt go through illegal slopes, as we know...

And, like many unexplainable things with the Editor and the TR Engine, I really donīt know why your baddie wonīt follow you to the next room. But probably itīs something with the physical aspect of your rooms.
