That alone won't do it. FlipEffects are needed, but I'm not sure which ones.

ok to start the timer you need to first enable it in the script, then move voncroy into your level, and trigger him from the starting posistion, after that you need to place a trigger for flip effect 30! once lara steps on this trigger the timer will start! but be warned! i know no way of stoping this timer at all!

I don't believe there is a way. In Race for the IRIS, the timer never stops - the level finishes and jumps into a cutscene.
