No, I'm not starting one. I just think I read in the manual that there's a possibility, that there'll be a competition between level builders for something I guess. But then again I've heard enough times, that Core didn't like the idea of TRLE, so I guess the competition would go bye bye as the update for TRLEBut wouldn't it be nice that there was a competition for the level builders, so that about the builders of the 10 best(in eidos'/cores' opinion) levels would get TR:AoD? Of course very unrealistic, I think, cause there would propably be a LOT of LB who'd join the contest, andto play all the levels, and decide which are the best... a nightmare I guess. And you may think that it is a bit unfair, because all people who play TR don't build levels, and they deserve the TR:AoD just as much as the LB? Well, think again level builders spend months of hard work just to give the player an enjoyable level and what do they get? OK, other level builders admire him/her for creating something good(if they create something good) players can't have enough of the levels, but otherwise - months of what you could've used for something more usefull for yourself. SO I think this isn't such a bad(and impossible) idea after all, what do you think? IP: Logged |

I think theoretical it would be possible, but on the other hand also unrealistical. It's possible, because in the past, several Level Designers here have been "rewarded" Lara goodies bags for their co-operation in placing their levels on a German game magazine CD, but on the other hand it would be impossible, because I don't think Core has time to judge levels, as they are working hard on AoD. And if you let the community be judges, there's always a form of biased minds.Of course, I'd be happy to be proven wrong ------------------ Driber's Homepage | TRLE Chatbox | TRLE FAQ and Community | Objects Archive IP: Logged |
