They're the object "Falling_Block".

But a name is not enough!!! To make them "solid" so Lara can stand on them before they fall, these objects (falling_block) need to be triggered as DUMMY TRIGGERS. If you do not trigger them, Lara will just fall through them as if they didn't even exist. So, place your object over a pit, select it and then, on the square underneath the object, place a Dummy trigger (selected from the trigger type in the trigger window). Hope this will save you some mad time!!! JBIP: Logged |

the falling block is in ang_race.tr4, jeepchs2.tr4 and joby2.tr4you may also experience a lack of "crumbling sound" once you step on the falling block, if that's the case: backup your wad, go to the LevelSFX Creator folder in DOS and type: pcwadsfx <wadfilename> b this command should fix the lack of sounds, it did for me when I inserted the falling block into my level ------------------ Peace is but a shadow of death, desperate to forget it's painful past... Though we hope for promising years, after shedding a thousand tears, yesterday's sorrow constantly nears. And while the moon still shines blue, by dawn, it will turn scarlet hue. IP: Logged |

how comes the "b" letter..? didn't this take away many of the other sounds you had in your wad..? Anyhow, if you can't add those sounds in your wad, Collin, you can simply put them really high... if I remember well, my falling blocks (aka "floating platforms") HAVE the sounds in the COTW, you can start from them to build yours... (at least they had it in the beginning while projecting COTW, but I edited to many times the sound.txt, so I can't remember now )... They are done by several meshes (the "composed one" and the pieces: mine are with "lights" on while floating normal, the lights are off when they are crumbling, like if they were "broken" by the heavy... this method was recommended by Mulf some time ago, it solved the lack of crumbling sound in my level and I have had no problems with other sound FX after I used that command IP: Logged |
