catacomb and coastal.tom fies... I don't know why this is happening, but it's something to do with installing a custom level and the english script bat, I think. When I try to create a clean script, it comes up as saying it's an invalid directory for the english.dat and script.dat. I've also just done a clean install of all my wad files, including clean script files, clean program files, but it's still doing it. Grrrr it's driving me nuts!

Make sure the tr4 files aren't read only.

This happened to me, too.
My problem was the .swd file missing.

Have you tried backing up the WADs that you need, and reinstalling the TRLE?
