To make a longer rope, simply add another rope object on top of the other.
Bare in mind that any more than two may not swing correctly, however if its use was just for climbing, more than two may be OK.

That's what the manual says. Unfortunately it is not quite correct on this point, as this passage seems to have been erroneously copied from the text describing the POLEROPE. In short, you cannot stack ropes. There is no way to make the rope longer than its standard length. What you place on the map is a nullmesh, the rope is generated in-game by the .exe.

I made a longer rope in my level... I placed a rope object and then placed a nother one, after I placed it I raced it 8 clicks high from the ground(Not from the other rope object from the ground) that worked here, you need to trigger both ropes at the same time
