Happy December Tomb Raider fans!

We’ve got a lot to go over this month, so let’s get to it.

Take a look at this beauty. We’ve revealed the global cover art for Tomb Raider, featuring a fresh image of Lara Croft. The newly unveiled box art captures Lara in what we consider a defining moment. As she contemplates the long journey ahead, she knows she will be forced to overcome her darkest fears in a fight to survive.

A note from Art Director Brian Horton on the cover: “It was extremely important for us to ensure that the most iconic image of Lara Croft in the campaign, the front of box, would be the one to epitomize her origins story. We wanted to show a Lara who is brave and equipped to face danger, yet who is aware and conscious of the task ahead. This is the moment where it dawns on her that she is destined to become the hero of her own story, and a Tomb Raider.”

Next up – Collector’s Editions! Pictured below is the North American offering.

This Collector’s Edition will be available in North America for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $99.99. A full breakdown of the contents can be found here.

The European offering is two tiered, with a Survival and Collector’s Edition. More info on those choices is available here. The Survival and Collector’s Editions will be available in Europe for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Lastly, Steam has unveiled their collector’s edition, offering up many of the same perks as the physical editions in digital form. Steam is also including a handful of pre-purchase rewards, unlocked in stages as fans pre-purchase the game. The first reward is a free copy of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Reward number two is an exclusive challenge tomb, and the third reward includes the “Endurance DLC pack,” which will be further detailed in January.

As a refresher, we’ve still not rolled out all pre-order offers and Collector’s Edition details worldwide, so don’t fret if your country isn’t listed just yet. For more information and regular updates of our pre-order and promotional offers worldwide, visit the Tomb Raider Pre-order hub at tombraider.com/preorder.

Lastly, I’m super excited to announce that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is now live on CoreOnline! If you’re not familiar with the Square Enix platform, CoreOnline lets you play high-definition games via your browser for free, supported by ads. Current CoreOnline games include Hitman: Blood Money, Mini Ninjas, and Guardian of Light. Hapti.co – the new Square Enix studio focusing on browser games – is hard at work preparing Tomb Raider: Underworld and Gyromancer for launch, too. Make sure to give the game a try and let us know about your experience!
