Topic: triggering a looping audio track

ok, here's the thing: when you make a cd trigger, like 079 or something, it plays the wav file once, but in Temple of Karnak there are cd triggers (110.wav in room 32 for example) that makes that track loop I don't see any difference with the triggers, am I missing something obvious here?

nope, the one shot button isn't on. and on page 64 and 67 of the manual, only changing the initial audio track is explained, not how to trigger a audio loop

I think the max number of times a track can play in a level (aide from the back ground) is 5 or 6. you need to set the ocb diferently in each triger. i'll try to find it in the manual and get back to you. -rob

ahhhhh, so the "loop trigger" has something to do with the door? I'll give that a try, tnx!

nope, doors don't have anything to do with it. The number of the wav files doesn't eighter I guess. 102.wav can loop, 103.wav can't loop and 111 can loop, that's sooooo weird.....maybe the wav files that can loop are already programmed in the level editor?

I used the 95 CD audio track in my level to repeat by a trigger.Just pressed the 5 button into the CD trigger. I guess it will repeat 5 or 6 times only, but don't really know. This audio is long enough to make what I want. Otherwise, I know a solution to play an audio track more than one time in a level at multiple places (just like CD 01). Set the first trigger with the 1 button pressed, the second trigger with the 2 button pressed etc... The last trigger must have the last numbers pressed (4 and 5 if you have placed 3 triggers). Hope it will help some.

Ambient sounds automatically loop. Don`t ask me how but they do! So you can have different ambient sounds for different scenes in a level. eg Coastal for outdoors by the sea and spooky for inside a building or tomb. well the tracks from the samples folder work that way also. (the ones trigered by the speakerT Icon) there based on proximity. I'm not sure they can handle larger files, but it may be worth a shot. -rob IP: Logged |

ok, after fooling around a bit more with the triggers, this is what came up:when trying to trigger 002.wav it doesn't loop, but when I rename it to 109.wav and trigger that one (so acually the same wav file, but with a different name) it loops al of a sudden!!! so I've come to this conclusion: the wav files that can loop by triggering them are PROGRAMMED in the level editor
