I can't get the jeep to work! I tried adding it to the tut1 wad with TRWEST, but it didn't work, it was a jumble of statues and stuff. Can someone give me step-by-step instructions on how to do this?

I want to make the bandit from Final Fantasy the movie, so please respond so I can get going!

This one's mine, boys!

from the jeepchas.tr4 put in tut1.wad the jeep itself, the vehicle extra and the puzzleitem 1

then add this line to the script:

Puzzle= 1,XXXXXX, $0008,$0400,$2000,$3000,$4000,$0002

where XXXXXX is the name you give to the ignition key.

Put XXXXXXX in english.txt too.

It doesn't work because when I output the wad, it changes the jeep to a jumble of objects. I need step-by-step instructions!

Come on, guys - How do you get the jeep to work?

I did this:

  • Downloaded kv5 from pwhirl's site
  • Opened Karnak in trwest
  • added the jeep, vehicle extra and puzzle 1
  • saved the was
  • opened room edit
  • loaded karnak
  • placed lara, the key, and the jeep
  • outputted the level to karnak.tom
  • compiled
  • ran TR

I did not make any script changes yet because I just want to get the jeep in there first. I am pretty sure the problem lies in the outputting of the level to karnak.tom

Help me, Please!

I got it working! Thanks, guys!

only one problem - it won't let me edit it.
I tried to edit the tires first, and the wad crashed the editor, so I undid that and edited the chassis, but it also crashed the editor. What can I do to edit the jeep?

You need to export it to DXF and edit it in a CAD program then import it

The problem was that I was oputputting to a karnak file not in the trle folder. Conan, what do you think I am doing??? I made a custom chassis (chassis.dxf) and imported it over the old one. Doing this, however, causes room edit to crash when I load objects.
